Earlier this week there was a huge convention in Chicago. ..The International Housewares Show 2011. Perhaps you heard about it?
Of course you did. You’re a food and cooking nut, just like me. You definitely heard about it. Did you get to go?
I didn’t. How sad! But, I did take note of everything drool worthy that people were tweeting about, Facebooking, and posting on their sites. Did you see these things?
Like – the new color from KitchenAid. Is it wrong for me to sneer at my previously cool Green Apple 5 Quart, because I have a newfound obsession with Raspberry Ice?
Dear Lord, I covet.
It’s not only a gorgeous shade of purpleish pink, but hello? It sparkles. I bet those two things together mean it mixes better than any other color. Don’t you? Okay, I’d settle for this amazing brown color. So rich and beautiful!
And what about the new color from Le Creuset? Fennel.
Fennel, fennel, fennel. Incredible shade of green, sure to make you feel like cooking something in a pot for 2-6 hours. I hope a little Leprechaun brings me one for St. Patrick’s Day. I doubt it, as I don’t know any Leprechauns. But a girl can dream.
I’m also quite enamored of Rachael Ray’s new egg crates. The only other place I’ve seen that sells ceramic egg crates is Anthropologie…but not in these colors! Yum. Eggs will never look better. MUST HAVE. If anyone knows when and where these will be available, let me know!

Oh wow… I’m loving all of that! The new Raspberry Ice color wouldn’t match my current kitchen (decked out in the red KA appliances), but I’d be happy to redecorate!

I desperately want the green Le Creusets. I don’t know that I’d actually use the egg crates – I have no problem using just the regular carton. Other than for the sake of aesthetics, what is the benefit there?
Also, I think the g/f wants SOMETHING in the Raspberry Ice color. Me, not so much, but I’m totally masculine in that way.
I want the egg crates! I saw the ones at Anthropologie but they didn’t do it for me.
I like the Fennel LC but I actually just bought the Staub Pesto…I compared them side by side in the store and the Staub finish was shiny and beautifully glazed, and a prettier shade of green in my humble opinion
Love that brown mixer….Darn it. I want that one! I have the KA Pro 600 in brushed nickel, but the brown…Ahhhhh to dream!
