Biscoff Syrup with Fresh Berry Popovers…and a Giveaway!

Are you tired of me making popovers?

We never get tired of them here.  They’re quick, require but one bowl and a whisk, and are done in less than half an hour, start to finish.

I make them plain, I make them with pumpkin, and I make them with apples.  For this batch, I added fresh Naturipe blueberries and raspberries and a little extra sugar.  They were SO good!

Instead of topping them with a sweetened cream cheese drizzle or a bit of maple syrup, I went a little out of the jar box.  You know I love Biscoff Spread, right?  Oh, I do.  I could eat it straight from the jar, just a spoon and a complete disregard for my waistline.  It’s beyond delicious!

Here’s what I did.  It’s going to require a lot of note taking on your part, so be prepared.

One part Biscoff Spread, two parts maple or Vanilla syrup.  Stir.  Use.  Die happy.

Add a few swirls of sweetened whipped cream on the side, okay?  You can thank me later.

Fresh Berry Popovers

Rating: 51

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 25 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Yield: 12

Serving Size: 2-3 popovers

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 5 Tbsps sugar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • pinch salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 cup mixed berries

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375F. Divide the butter into the cups of your Pop Over Pan. (If you don’t own one, you can use a muffin tin, but you will need to use all 12 cups. Just divide the butter up evenly) Place the pan in the oven for 3-5 minutes while you are making the batter.
  2. In medium bowl, beat the eggs with the milk, vanilla, ginger and sugar, then whisk in the flour. Pour the batter into the butter filled cups, then evenly add a few berries to each cup. Return to oven for 5 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350 and continue to bake for another 20 minutes. Drizzle with Biscoff Syrup or your favorite syrup, and whipped cream. Serve and enjoy!
