The 25 Days of Doughmesstic Christmas…Le Creuset Giveaway

Oh, sweet, sweet readers. You have been so kind to me, leaving me nice comments, reading everyday, tweeting and sharing my recipes. You don’t know how much that means to me. I wish I could reward each and every one of you.

I also wish I could give all of you one of THESE beauties.

imageA Le Creuset 9 Quart Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven. It’s valued at over $400. Whoa!

I am fortunate enough to own one, and we use it all the time. ALL the time. Even the simplest things, like big pots of soup, or chicken and dumplings, or even spaghetti – we pull out this reliable and gorgeous Le Creuset.

To inspire you a bit, I’ve compiled a little round up of goodies that are perfect for this pot, whether stovetop only, or oven only, or a combination of the two (it’s an amazing pot, what can I say??), you’ll find that you really, really want one of them.

You know you do.

Homemade Alphabet Soup or Three Bean Sweet Potato Chili (click the pictures for recipe posts) would be ideal for a chilly winter day. Fry up a grilled cheese to dip in them? Die. Oh, that’s making me hungry as I type. Not fair – I should have eaten lunch!

How about something a little more substantial?

Try this Roasted Pork from my friend Paula at Bell’Alimento. Doesn’t it look divine? For that matter, how about this Braised Pork with Rosemary and Mushrooms? Please? Yes, yes, yes.

How about soup? Brandi has a delicious Potato Soup with Sausage and Broccoli. Looks good, right? Yes, yes it does.

Not into pork? How about Chicken? Julia Child was a huge fan of Le Creuset, and rightly so. And I am a big fan of her recipes made in Le Creuset! For example, this:

chicken

A roasted chicken with potatoes and onions and divine herbs and seasonings…all made in the one pot. Yes!

Of course, there’s always mulled cider, vegetable soup, risotto, braised beef – you name it, there’s a million things you can use this excellent cookware to make.

But first? You need the pot.

  • Tell me you want it. That’s one entry.
  • For one additional chance (just choose one) – Share this post link on Twitter or on Facebook. Return here to let me know you did, and now you’ve entered to win TWICE.
  • Follow doughmesstic on Twitter or Facebook. If you already do, that counts, just be sure to leave ONE comment, letting me know.
  • Want another entry? Become a fan of Le Creuset on Facebook and write on their wall, letting them know I sent you. Be nice, they sure are! I mean, they’re giving away a $400 pot after all!

Four total entries per person, max. All extra comments will be deleted.

Open to US Addresses Only (so very sorry Internationals, I do appreciate you, though), and is courtesy of and shipped by Le Creuset. Giveaway ends December 12, 11:59pm EST.
