You read that right.
I can’t leave butter alone. In fact, as I type this, though I feel like absolute crap, I would consider standing at the stove over a pan of Kerrygold, waiting on it to release that nutty, buttery aroma.
But I won’t. I’ll keep typing, so that you, too, can have this really unusual dip.
It’s quick. It’s easy. It’s a stand around the party table, guarding it with a fork good. It may even be an “oops, Honey, I forgot to sit out our Cookie Dough Dip” uttered 5 minutes after the guests are out the door.
Not that you’d do that.
What you choose to pair the dip with is up to you, but I found that strawberries were my favorite. Graham crackers, apples, slobbery spoons – all acceptable options. You choose.
I won’t judge.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup confectioners sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Place butter in small pot over medium heat. Proceed to brown butter, until slightly colored and nutty in smell. Add brown sugar and allow to bubble for 3-5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- In medium bowl beat softened cream cheese with confectioners sugar, flour, and vanilla. Beat in browned butter and brown sugar until well combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Serve and enjoy!
