Moen…More on my Kitchen Makeover!

To say I am spoiled is an understatement…but here’s the thing – I KNOW it.  I know I am spoiled, and therefore, I’m okay with it.

I. Am. Spoiled.

Not only did KitchenAid hook me up with an incredible suite of appliances (they’ve literally changed me life), but I also had help from Lowe’s for thing like the backsplash, cabinetry, window treatments and more.  A local granite company stepped in to help me with GORGEOUS granite surfaces, and then Moen offered two of the most incredible pieces of kitchen loveliness you’ll ever see.

A faucet, and a (gasp) potfiller.

First, let me tell you a little about this faucet.

moenfaucetI already had a Moen faucet prior to the reno, but it was too small for the new sink, and I was intrigued by the new Reflex technology that Moen is now doing with their faucets.  So, I chose a brushed stainless model, sleek and modern, called Aberdeen.  It arches high over the sink, with a separate side arm to adjust the flow and temperature.  The best part about this type of faucet is that the sprayer is built right in, and with the touch of a single button, I can alternate between a stream or a spray.  It pulls out more than enough to reach all of the areas of my very deep sink, it angles, it sprays, it returns right back to its’ resting place like magic, thanks to the nice undersink weight.

Beautiful AND functional.  Gotta love that!

Now for that wall mounted treasure…the Potfiller.

Yes, it is a luxury that most homes do not know.  But now I know it… and you should know it, too.   A gorgeous brushed stainless swing arm that reaches out to all areas of my new 48 inch range, offering a pot full of water as I need it, no schlepping back and forth to the sink.  With as much pasta as we consume in this house, I find myself using it nearly every single day.  It’s fantastic, and I am so fortunate I was able to include it in my kitchen renovation! I am also fortunate that Jon used to work as a plumber’s assistant, so that he could plumb all of the necessary pipes for it – gotta love that!  (yes, the actual plumber did assist – we weren’t taking any chances!)

If you are in the midst of a kitchen reno, or plan to be, I would highly recommend these products, and if you can, definitely include the potfiller.  Not only is it a welcome luxury that you’ll end up using more than you imagine, it’s also a fantastic conversation starter and eyecatching kitchen jewelry!

Thanks so much to Moen for their generous gift, it has made my new kitchen even better!
