A Coffee Date with Friends…Across the Miles

I am a hermit.

My friends? They are scattered about the US. I am a blogger. My friends are bloggers. We text, we tweet. We catch up on Facebook.

It works for us.

Sometimes, we all show up in the same town at the same time, and that’s awesome…thank goodness for Media Tours. But most times? We see each other virtually. If one of us isn’t wearing pants – that’s really okay. No one cares.

I rarely wear pants.

But that’s neither here nor there. I’m talking about hanging out with my friends. I love that.

And today, we are having a virtual coffee date, courtesy of Mr. Coffee.

Angie, Brandi, Meredith and I (three of us were together last month in Fresno eating Raisins!) are joining up and sharing a latte today. I wish it was in person, but, that’s okay. Skype and Twitter work for me. It’s easy.

Plus, pants. There’s still that little pants issue.

Luckily, the four of us were armed with Mr. Coffee® Café Latte Machines, and I kid you not, the coffee was all foamy and frothy, just like the expensive coffeehouse variety. I didn’t even realize you could make your own at home. Pants-free. But you can! If you know of coffee loving friends or family on your Christmas list – look into this machine. I think I expected too little of this coffee maker. Really. But it’s good looking, fits in nicely in my newly updated kitchen, and best of all – it works. And at a great price!

Better than that? Mr. Coffee is extending a special offer to our blog readers: $10 off and free shipping on the purchase of a Café Latte at www.mrcoffeelatte.com. (Enter promo code: MLAT10A). You can also find more info and plenty of great latte recipes there!

(Pants are optional.)
