Pie Swap. Pie Mix. It’s a Bunch of Pie.

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Mrs. Smith’s. All opinions are 100% mine.

Every year at Thanksgiving, there is always at least ONE dessert that we question – who made this delicious looking pie?

The answer? It’s always Mrs. Smith.

You see, I have an aunt named Mrs. Smith. And it’s pretty much a given that she didn’t bring the Mrs. Smith’s Pie. Ever. And so we laugh and laugh as we inhale our desserts.

Maybe you just have to be there, because it’s funny. To us.

It’s funny.

Now, don’t be going and getting snobby on me, because I guarantee at least once in your life, you’ve been slated to bring a dessert to a potluck or family get together, and for whatever reason – headache, flu, a case of the lazies, a Real World/Road Rules Reunion Marathon – you just didn’t want to make something from scratch.

In steps Mrs. Smith.

Kid you not, they are better than the pies made in the grocery bakery. Why the store doesn’t just go to the freezer section and bake her pies I’ll never know – they’d certainly sell a lot more of them. Especially now with the Mrs. Smith’s Signature Deep Dish pies…and all those toppings.

My go to “Homemade” Mrs. Smith’s Pie is the Deep Dish Apple Crumb. Just enough spice, and plenty of that crumb topping. Maybe even too much?

Nah.

Even better? The pies now include a packet of caramel to drizzle over the top. Even better than THAT? Buying two different pies, and swapping out the toppings.

Say whaaa?

ms-apple-pie-2Yep. Buy the Deep Dish Pumpkin Pie, and take some of that cream cheese icing over to the Deep Dish Apple. Score. Cream Cheese Apple Pie is a winner. Plus, a drizzle of the caramel on the Pumpkin Pie is pretty darned tasty too.

Did I mention the Deep Dish Peach (which comes with Cream Cheese too) is equally good with the caramel?

How about the Deep Dish Cherry? This one throws a whole new flavored topping in the mix – Butter Fudge. Droooool. While I love that topping on the cherry pie the most, it’s also great on the pumpkin pie. And the cream cheese? Very good on the cherry. You could be mixing and matching all day! I’m sure Mrs. Smith won’t mind.
