Game Day Goodies!

in Appetizers, football, Recipes, round up, tailgating

We are known for being huge tailgaters.

I am female.  Jon is…not.

What this means is – he thinks a meal of meat and meat alone is a meal.

I think we need to have cookies or brownies or, heck, even a SALAD to go with all of the carnivore action. Right?  Just meat?  No.  It can’t be just me.

So, I’m offering up some change here today.  I’m sure you’ve already seen eleventy million round ups of nachos, chicken wings, guacamole and cheese smothered everythingelse…so I am offering you some SWEET things.

Trust me – you want sweet things after all that manfood.  People will like you if you carry any of these to your group bowl watching party.  Heck – I already do like you. The snacks are just gravy.

Butterfinger Treats

Butterfinger Treats.  Big fat Yes.

Caramel Apple Eggrolls with Caramel Apple Sauce

Caramel Apple Eggrolls with Caramel Apple Sauce.  I mean, really.

Chicken & Waffle Sliders

Chicken & Waffle Sliders.  Hello? It’s a must, and too easy.

Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Pops

Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Pops.  Dipped in team colors? Winner!

Giant Chocolate Chip-Peanut Football Shaped Cookie

Giant Chocolate Chip Peanut Football Cookie.  Needs no explanation.  Make it.

Homemade Soft Pretzels

Homemade Soft Pretzels.  You know why.

So, while this isn’t a HUGE 147 recipe roundup, what it IS is recipes I’d like to see in my OWN HOME this Sunday.  You are welcome to drop by with any of these items.  I’ll be the one on the couch, watching the commercials, counting every mention of the word Omaha.

Yes, I am female.

Hahah, this whole post made me laugh and I can TOTALLY relate. My husband thinks a piece of steak is a well rounded meal. I love this roundup….nice to something other than nachos and chicken wings.
Not that I don’t love those too.

Awww! I’m very lucky in that my husband isn’t keen on sports at all, unfortunately he’s also not a cake fan and doesn’t really have a sweet tooth but that’s okay I can eat his share too. :) I hope you get to indulge in some goodies just for you this weekend!
