Domestic Means Biter Biscuits…
Hey Mommies! Just thought I would share a quick and tasty way to treat your baby/toddler. I made these cookie/biter biscuits for Seven yesterday, and he is loving them up!! They aren’t nearly as hard and gooey and messy as the typical biters – just a chewy little cookie to gnaw on with their aching gums. And easy!! And cheap! (I like cheap. I am very frugal these days.)
So, here you go, a recipe to make you feel oh. so. domestic.
Chewy Biter Biscuits for Baby
1 cup flour
1 cup flavored cereal (rice or oatmeal) I used Rice with Raspberries and Bananas
3 T. Vegetable oil
approx. 3/4 cup ice water
Splash Raspberry extract (optional, use whatever you like or nothing at all)
Combine the flour and cereal. Add the oil and stir well. Add the water, first 1/2 cup, then bit by bit until you have a nice workable dough. Roll out dough and shape with cookie cutter or cut into strips with pizza cutter or pasta/pastry cutter. Bake at 425 until brown around edges. Enjoy!
*As with any baby self-feeding food, do not leave your baby unsupervised while eating as they may choke.
