Falling…
I love the fall. It’s easier to breathe, easier to see, just, well, easier. I love the crispness in the air, the smell of dried leaves and chimney smoke, the excuse to wear a jacket. I took this picture a couple of weekend ago. It is a view looking towards my home from several miles away. I guess some other traveller had placed the apple on the post, but I thought it was interesting, and made for a nice photo.
Last night Jon and I went to the Hokie game, and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. The air was cool but not cold, and in the stands, the heat from the crowd was just enough to make the night air the perfect temperature. And the Hokies won, but whatever…I went back to the truck and took a nap in the 3rd quarter anyway. (Not often are naps available, so I take them when I can get them.) The Seven Deadly Sin Cookies were a big hit. One person wanted to clone me (oh, the horror) and one couldn’t stop eating them long enough to even comment, really. So…make them at your own risk, people. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Oh, and here’s yet another warning…
You now have 47 shopping days until Christmas.
Don’t shoot the messenger, people…I’m in the same boat.
