Time to Play!!

Last summer, Seven was just starting to crawl around this time of year…so he really didn’t have much of a say in where we spent our time playing. This year? Completely different story! The past few weekends, Jon has spent time staining our huge front porch – so now Sev wants to hang out there and ride the “antique” tricycle I bought long before he was born. But not only that…we were recently sent an ESPN Better Batter Baseball game that we have set up on the back patio. It’s kind of like T-Ball, but way cooler. The ball, instead of sitting atop the T, hangs by a velcro hanger. And it reloads for you at the tap of a bat! Very ingenius, I must say. It seems that so many kids have a hard time with T-ball as they invariably hit the T a lot. This set-up takes care of that issue. If I had the tolerence to spend 5 hours a day out there with that ball game, I swear, he would make me. “Ball. BAll. BALl. BALL! BALLLLLLLLL!” It goes on and on like this all day. Every day. The child loves it outside. Loves it.

If not for Time To Play, and the folks at MomFluence, I wouldn’t have known that my son is on the path to baseball stardom (and that kind of sucks, you see, as Baseball is not my favorite pastime. I much prefer Football. But I’ll learn to deal with it!) You see, Time To Play is a great site for Toy Resources. You can read reviews of things from Play Yards to action figures, sports equipment to video games…and we all know how important this information can be – we have our children to think of! So, anytime you are looking for a little insight on something before you buy it, head on over to Time To Play and get the info you are looking for. It’s a really helpful resource for parents who don’t have the time to spend scouring the net for honest reviewson the toys they buy their children. Check it out!

Hope everyone is having a great week so far…I apologize for the absence of posts, but you see, I just finished a successful NaBloPoMo and now I am a little worn out! I promise, the DoughMessTicity will be picking back up…and soon!
