The 25 Days of Doughmesstic Christmas…Platinum Edition Keurig

Got your attention, did I?

Bet I did.

Now, just in case you are living in the Dark Ages and haven’t yet heard of Keurig, let me fill you in.  Although I’m not sure how that could be possible, as here you are, reading my post on the internet, and surely you’ve ventured into at least ONE store to do some Christmas shopping.  Keurig K-Cups and machines are everywhere this year.  And with good reason.  They cure what ails you… Laziness. Fatigue. Lack of Motor Skills.  (Not bed wetting, though, you’re on your own there.)

imageIn all seriousness though, Keurig is really a remarkable machine.  My Platinum Edition Keurig  works like many of the other Keurig brewers, in that it has a special water reservoir that you keep filled up.  Whenever you are considering a cup of coffee, or hot cocoa, or a spot of tea, just push the little button, and Keurig whizzes into action and heats up the water in world record time.  Really – a minute?  Maybe less, I can’t be sure.  All I know is that by the time I’ve chosen which of the umpteen flavors of tea or my favorite, Apple Cider, to drink, it’s ready to go.  From there, I open the top, drop in my little single brew of Celestial Seasonings Lemon Zinger, and push my cup size. (Dirty minds! Cut it out!  I meant mug size and you know it.)  A minute later, I’m sipping away, lost in memories of Watamu, Kenya, where I’d take tea every afternoon by the pool with Jon and the resort manager, who happened to be the only other English speaker in the joint.  The same person who advised me that pureed mango treats scalding equator sunburn like magic salve, not that I had one. But he was right.

Good times.

So now you know.  Keurig is everything it’s cracked up to be.  Everything.  Even if you don’t drink coffee, you’ll wonder how you lived without one.  Wanna know what else is great about the Platinum Edition?  It brews Iced Coffees and Teas. Yes! This is one extreme machine, and we adore ours!
