Avocado Love

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Avocados from Mexico. All opinions are 100% mine.

avocadoShow of hands…who loves Avocados? Wow. That’s a lot of you. Growing up, we didn’t EVER have them. As in, EVER. Not once. It wasn’t until I moved out and went to college that I tasted guacamole, which has a weird, unattractive, unappetizing name. So it scared me. Not until I started food blogging did I discover my love for the avocado. It’s great sliced onto sandwiches, mushed into guacamole, or churned into ice cream. Yes, really. It can even win you a trip to the Rose Bowl, like I did last year. I entered a recipe for a Bourbon Bacon Shrimp and Avocado Pocket into a tailgating recipe contest, and three months later I was jetted off to Pasadena for 5 days of fun and football. Now, not everyone is going to win a trip, and that’s okay. Because everyone can still make and eat the recipes, and be happy campers. Here are a few avocado inspirations from my friends, as well as my Rose Bowl Winning recipe. I highly recommend each of them!

Now…you know I LOVE avocados. I’ve shown it, but there are ways for you to show it, too! Take for example, you can visit theI love avocados on Facebook pageand profess your love there. Why not? Even food needs a little love, and something quite as unattractive as an avocado could use it. Isn’t it sad how wrinkly they are, and yet they are hiding such delicious flavor? That Mother nature is one tricky lady. But back to the Facebook Page. While you are there, you can download ringtones and screensavers, send a Virtual Gift to a friend, or grab one of these cute badges for your blog, like I did. Snazzy, eh?

You can also connect withAvocados from Mexico on Twitter, at @GuacGrl, or use the hashtag #ILoveAvocados. Because you do, right? You LOVE Avocados. Yeah, me too.
