Shopping in the Big Apple…Century 21

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of CENTURY 21 for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love New York City. I think I could live there, though I know I’d miss my house, my yard, my being able to drive to the grocery store and not want to kill myself or someone else along the way. But, the trade offs, such as gourmet cheese shops, architecture, Broadway, and of course, the shopping for clothes? Well, it would likely be worth it.

Instead of moving there and being poor, I’ll settle for a weekend trip.

I’m thinking we may go this December. Maybe stay at the Plaza? The Waldorf? I love those two hotels. I’d like to also see a show. Any recommendations? The food and shopping I can handle – I know what I like.

I’ll admit I did get a good lead on amazing shopping though, at a place I am sad to say I not heard of before. (What can I say, I’m kind of sheltered.) It’s called Century 21, and apparently, a lot of celebrities really like it. Stacy Keibler and Kim Kardashian are known to shop there in their downtown location. It’s 150,000 Square Feet of retail space. I can’t even fathom that, can you? HUGE. I must see it in person. Major labels, all at a great price (up to 65% off) – I need this in my life. Have you been? Will I be overwhelmed? Of course, there are 2 locations in Manhattan – Lincoln Square (1972 Broadway) and Downtown (22 Cortlandt Street). I may have to hit BOTH!

I’m told the clothing is incredible, and that the prices are hard to beat. There’s also a men’s edpartment, and a home goods section…it may take me all weekend. Gracious. If you’ve been (and I hope at least one of you have), what’s the best thing to shop for?

Oohhh – check this out…you can visit the Century 21 Facebook page and enter theEmpire Hotel sweepstakes for a chance to win a $500 C21 wardrobe makeover and a two-night stay at the iconic Empire Hotel in NYC! I’ve not stayed there, but walked past it many times. Such a great location – and hello? A free trip AND makeover? Sign me up already.

In preparation of my big win (and because I had to check it out), I became a member of C21Stores.com – it was free – and I got to see hours worth of things I hope to buy. Crazy. I was stuck in in the outerwear department for longer than I care to admit. So, head over to their site and register – I’m sure your boss won’t mind you shopping online.

Look at these jackets I found. I am torn. That grey one gets me going though, and seems like it would be slimming. Thoughts?

I’d love to hear what you think – about the jackets, about the store, about the deals. I want to know!
