Arm & Hammer Sensitive Toothpaste Review…and a Giveaway!

Imagine coming home one day, tired, annoyed, just wanting someone to bring you a plate of food, a bubble bath, and an early bedtime.

That happened to me a few weeks ago.

And while I knew the plate of food wasn’t going to happen, or the early bedtime, I did hold on to hope that a nice long bath would transpire. Especially after being greeted by a big box on my front porch, full of goodies courtesy of Arm & Hammer.

A bath wrap. An eye mask. Herbal tea and all sorts of relaxing things to make my night a little softer. A little sensitivity.

Okay, a lot of sensitivity…they included their new ARM & HAMMER™ Sensitive toothpaste, from the makers of Orajel™.

Now, I am kind of a toothpaste snob. (I know, you think I’m a snob about lots of things but at least I admit this one.) You see, I ONLY want to use a whitening toothpaste. I only want one that makes my teeth feel really clean. I want it to be minty, smooth, and actually work. I don’t think that’s too much to ask.

My teeth aren’t overly sensitive, but really cold things do make me ache a bit. This ARM & HAMMER™ Sensitive toothpaste does seem to help with that sensitivity…so that is a plus. Acids, heat, cold – it helps with all of that. Plus – it does actually whiten. I’ve noticed a bit of difference, even though my old toothpaste was a whitener, this one actually works better. Perhaps it’s the cleaning power of the baking soda (which admittedly, I CAN taste, but it’s not overwhelming), or perhaps the whitener is just more powerful. Either way, I’m pleased with the result.

Could it taste better? Yes. Like I said, it’s a little Baking Soda-y. It could be mintier, in my opinion. But I think the taste is kind of like the premise of the toothpaste…it’s for health. It tastes healthy. I mean come on – you don’t eat whole wheat toast because it tastes better than white bread. Let’s be real. You eat it because it’s healthier for you. Not me, of course. I eat white…my hypocrisy goes but so far.

Overall, would I buy this ARM & HAMMER™ Sensitive toothpaste myself? Yes, I would. And have. I now travel with it, which is a lot. I leave one tube at home and the other goes with me, I like it that much. Do I think YOU should buy it? Well, that depends. Do you want your teeth to feel cleaner, and look whiter? Do you have any sensitivity? Do you not mind a bit of baking soda taste in your toothpaste? Okay then, if you said YES, then I say buy it.
