I’ve been gone a lot lately. Here, there, everywhere.
But a few weeks ago, I boarded the Caribbean Princess for a five night Western Caribbean sailing to Cozumel and Grand Cayman.
I was in for a wonderful treat.
I’ll delve into more of the highlights in additional posts, but I wanted to give you a quick rundown and some photos now to whet your appetite. Why now?
Well, now is as good a time as any to consider booking a cruise. As a former travel agency owner, I know the ins and out of cruising, and I have been on plenty of ships. A cruise is an awesome value. I could stack up the particulars for you, weighing out the costs per night of a beach hotel room, the seafood buffets, a show or two, putt putt, movies, etc – and compare that to the value of a cruise…but you wouldn’t believe me. The value is THERE, folks. And the crystal blue waters, the fine dining, the incredible amount of activities, the BUILT IN CHILD CARE? You just can’t get that kind of experience for the price you pay on a cruise. My family of 3 could sail on a similar 5 night cruise starting under $900. True story. That would cover our inside stateroom, all of our meals, on board activites, and more. Good luck booking a beach trip and eating for that.
Anyway, there’s my 2 cents on cruise value.
So let me share these pics with you.
I had such a great time, meeting fellow bloggers, going on excursions to swim with sting rays, dancing in Skywalkers, riding ATVs through the jungle, and of course, eating like a champion. You did see that Chocolate Chip Cookie post I wrote that was inspired by this cruise, no? Yeah, I had to eat that many cookies with milk everyday. Had to.
Don’t know what to get your family for Christmas? You do now…Book a cruise for he winter, spring or summer. It’s an amazing gift, and YOU get to enjoy it as much as the people you are giving it to!
