Hersheypark in the Dark
Can you believe it’s only a month until Halloween? A MONTH.
That’s frightening.
I have always loved Halloween, and now that I have Seven, it’s so much fun to see the holiday from his young eyes. He’s a huge fan of getting really dressed up – we take our costumes seriously – and even though the candy collecting is a good time, it’s really about getting out there and having fun.
This year, instead of trick-or-treating all around town, we are heading north to Hershey, Pennsylvania for Hersheypark in the Dark.
We are going to be going the weekend of Halloween, but, if you are so inclined, you can visit Hersheypark In The Dark the weekends of October 16-18, 23-25 and 30-November 1. But what’s going on here, you ask? Well…
- 13 thrilling roller coasters, including the newest Laff Trakk and fourDark Ride Experiences Dark Ride Experiences: Each night during the last hour of operation, enjoy rides on Wildcat, Lightning Racer, Comet, and Laff Trakk with the lights off. The LIGHTS OFF. Can not wait!
- A Trick-Or-Treat Adventure through Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction and Hersheypark
- Flashlight tours during Creatures Of The Night at ZooAmerica
- Two Halloween-themed resident shows

Seven is so excited to get to wear his costume all over the park, and especially about being ale to trick-or-treat. Candy AND rides? Who wouldn’t be excited?? The candy collecting begins at Hershey’s Chocolate World Attraction and continues into Treatville inside Hersheypark. Kids 12 and younger can enjoy a treat at eleven stops between both locations, including four spooky stops in Hershey Hallow.
Prices are great – only $35 for an adult ticket – so you can have fun all day without hurting the bank. And – your kiddos will think you are rockstar for taking them to a themepark for Halloween.
Go. Do it. Everyone needs to be a rockstar at least once!
