I made it down to Raleigh in one piece. Three and a half hours actually went by pretty quickly, thanks to the iPod. Normally, I am in my car maybe 4 times a week, for a whopping 3 minutes at a time. It’s not often I get all the way through Redemption Song. So it was kind of cool to be able to listen to things I haven’t heard in ages…and then some of the new Taylor Swift CD. Why do I like her? She’s way cuter than the kind of music I typically like. Oh well. Check both out at iTunes sometime…it’ll make you feel good. Especially the Marley. Mmmmm.
But anyway, I am here. Nic and her husband have gone off to bed already, since they have real jobs and have to work tomorrow. I will spend my time – doing what? Sure, I will go shopping. By MYSELF. No Boy in tow. I am excited to buy unusual Christmas Tree Ornaments at World Market. Isn’t that sad? But that’s really all I can think of to do. Maybe get my hair cut? God knows I need it. It’s been since, gulp, July. July. And here it is November. When did I become that person? That person who forgets to have her hair done. Who buys her clothes only because she needs a new shirt, not because it would be cute or stylish? Who clips massive amounts of coupons, and holds up the register line? Who AM I?
I do not own sweatpants, at least. Not yet. Maybe there is hope after all.
