Somebody Else Loves Me…Another Fab Award!!
Imagine my shock when I opened my email today to find that Mara, one of the BEST, MOST CREATIVE bloggers, gave me the Arte y Pico Award, which is translated as Peak of Art.. Me. As in, the girl who struggles daily to find domesticity. And what is the award for, you ask? (no, it actually isn’t for being a scone hater or a mother who allows her baby to eat dogfood twice in two days, but good guesses, really…) It is because, in her own words:
“Susan consistently posts amazing photos of her goodies & it seems like her learning curve is incredibly short, which is a huge inspiration for me to keep learning as well.”
Flattered, I’m sure. I love this girl. She’s a genius in the kitchen, especially with a cupcake. You MUST check her blog out. Mara is the blogger behind Lick the Spatula. Beautiful photos, great recipes, and very inventive, too, I might add. So THANK YOU, Mara…I truly am honored.
Now, with this award comes some rules…
The rules for the award are:
-I have to pick five blogs who deserve this award because the content of their blog is creative, interesting, and they inspire the blogging community.
-Each recipient has to have their name and link back to their blog.
-The recipient must display the award and link back to the blog that awarded them the award.
-The recipient must also show the link back to Arte y Pico blog so everyone knows the origin of the award.
That being said, who should I pass this award along to? Well, there are so many who inspire me…and Mara actually chose 2 of them….CB and Donna, both of which inspire me constantly and are so helpful whenever I have questions. So that leaves me 5 others to bestow this award on.
In no particular order, I choose:
Elra, of Elra’s Baking. She joined me in the My Kitchen, My World adventure and has been AMAZING. I think this girl can make just about anything…and she’s outshining me in my OWN cooking group!
Jayne, The Barefoot Kitchen Witch. Good Lord, this woman is a superhero. She needs no introduction, just go check out her blog. Now. if not for her, I would still be eating pasta from a box. The horror.
Carrie of Carrie’s Kitchen Creations. The photos this girl takes are stunning, not to mention, her food looks delicious. Don’t take my word for it, go see for yourself!
Jenny of the Picky Palate. Besides being stunningly gorgeous (she really is), she has got her act together both in and out of the kitchen. Plus, she has an award winning mac-n-cheese recipe that I MUST MAKE. And I will. What this girl can do with a box mix brownie or cake will knock your socks off.
Jamie at Sticky Feet: Part Deux. She’s got a beautiful baby and she knows what to do with it! Not to mention, she takes great photographs of all of her delicious food! (And she has those cool personalized Nikes that I am too cheap to buy but have been looking at FOREVER.)
