But first…Mint Chocolate Brownies. If you know me at all, you know I have an affinity for fudgy brownies. I never, ever want to hear “cake like” when it comes to a brownie. If I wanted something to be cake like, I would make a cake. Like. If I want brownies, I want something thick […]
Remember when I used to make cake? Like, all the time? Yeah, me too. I kind of miss the days of all day baking, powdered sugar strewn about my kitchen, fondant in every color covering my counters, a sink full of dirty cake pans. Okay, not all of that is worth missing, but you get […]
Good morning! I hope you had a great weekend, and are ready for a fun giveaway to continue my 12 Days of Giveaways! if you haven’t already, you still have time to get in on the KitchenAid Mixer and Waffle Baker Giveaways, so make sure you do that! Today, however, is a little more, well, […]
Happy Sunday! Today I am thrilled to offer you one of my most favorite things…the KitchenAid Waffle Baker. Seriously – LOVE it. Waffles are a treat, in my opinion, reserved for breakfasts out or on fancy brunch buffets – not something you serve up at home on a regular basis. Why? Well, restaurants tend to […]
True story…I can’t tolerate that 12 Days of Christmas Song. Another true story? I don’t trust anyone who knows, in order, days 6 thru 12 of that song. Trustworthy folks chime in at 5 Gold-en riiinngs. You know it’s true. So anyway, 12 Days of Christmas has a nice ring to it, so I am […]
Pinterest. Pinterest. Pinterest is the devil. But it’s the devil we ALL LOVE. It’s full of ideas we would never have on our own, parties we want to have ourselves, crafts we THINK we can do successfully. Yes, I love Pinterest. So much, in fact, that when SOLO asked be to be a featured “Pinner” […]
Well, here it is, less than 2 weeks until Christmas. Can you believe it? I can’t. Luckily though, there is still plenty of time for making sweet treats and delectable desserts to share with friends and family…such as this Toasted Almond Cheesecake. As I mentioned in my previous two posts, I was contacted by Glade® […]
I can not fathom that it is almost Christmas. Can. Not. I swear, Seven just went back to school. Right? And here we are, putting up the tree, hanging stockings, juggling Christmas parties. It’s…well, it’s just plain overwhelming is what it is. Although I am freaking out a bit about it, I do have a […]
The smell of waffles is kind of unforgettable. I will never forget my first trip to Europe, and my first true waffle experience. In Brussels, you walk down the bustling city streets, shopping as the snow falls over your eyelashes, and the smell of freshly baked perfect Belgian waffles hits you before you even […]
Well kids, here it is…we are right smack in the middle of December. Less than 2 weeks until Christmas, and Hanukkah has come and gone. It’s full on Holiday Season – and I hope you are more ready than I am. That won’t take much. Luckily, it’s also officially gingerbread season. That, friends, I am […]
It came. It went. What a blur. Mixed was a huge success this year, with around 100 great folks gathering together on the top of a mountain in the middle of nowhere. Sponsors, bloggers, cookbook authors, photographers, chefs, videographers…all of us were out in force and bonded over great food and fun. I want to […]
I love when things show up in my inbox that I would really like to do. Like… “Would you make us some cookies, using pumpkin and molasses, and we will pay you for it?” Umm, yes. Turns out this very thing happened a week or so ago, when I was asked by Grandma’s Molasses to […]
