Lavender Citrus Holiday Cookies

Remember last week when I made those Pizzelles for Kitchen Play and MySpiceSage?IMG_1213

Well, they like me over at MySpiceSage! In fact, I have been asked to contribute recipes to their site, using some of their more unusual herbs and spices…making me the MySpiceSage go-to girl! (I’ve never been a go-to girl! I’m excited!)

For my first official recipe, I was challenged to incorporate Lavender Buds into a holiday cookie. I decided to combine the subtle complexity of the lavender with the punch of citrus, and came up with a delicious sugar cookie! You could top them with the citrus glaze, as written, or, you could opt to make royal icing and decorate them for your holiday trays. Either way would be delicious!
