You may not know this about me, but I am an iPhone Camera junkie. I absolutely LOVE Instagram. At one point, I labeled it as my favorite iPhone App for photos, and in most ways, it still is. It is certainly my favorite photo sharing app…but, with the most recent update, it has fallen a […]
I love Halloween. When else is it perfectly acceptable to dress up as a pirate, or vampire, or Justin Beiber? When else can you get away with eating all of your child’s “questionable” candy? (I think there is a LOT of questionable candy, but maybe it’s just me. I’ll take on the challenge of consuming […]
Yep. In about eight short weeks, we’ll all be scrambling around, looking for Christmas and Holiday Cards to mail. We’ll fret about who we forgot. Who we need to add. Who we wish we didn’t have to send one to. (Did I say that out loud?) And, if you are like me, you’ll be scavenging […]
Last week I was whisked away to Milwaukee to meet the folks at Johnsonville. Since I knew I’d be gone, I arranged for a friend to do all of my work. Well…at least SOME of my work. In the past, I’ve always asked another food blogger to guest post, but this time, I reached out […]
Have you noticed the new pink packaging in the mushroom aisle? No? Well, you should. The Mushroom Council has brightened up our grocery buying experience by surrounding their wares in bright pink as part of Breast Cancer Awareness. Since 2002, the Mushroom Council has invested more than $750,000 in grants to City of Hope for […]
Still loving all this football? I know I am! In fact, I may have a bit more money than I used to, based on my ability to pick winners. But I can’t admit to something like that, nor can I admit to having a need to want to buy cowgirl boots with any monies I […]
You know full well I am never WORDLESS when it comes to Wordless Wednesday. But I’ll keep it brief. Look at that smile. I could eat him alive. (And have tried on a few occasions, beginning with his feet.) He’s riding his PlasmaCar – which just about every person that has been here to the […]
I know you are thinking I’ve lost my mind. It’s okay. I probably have, but it isn’t because of this ice cream. As you may or may not be aware, I just finished up a huge project: my Ice Cream Cookbook. yep! 300 Frozen Desserts, ranging from gelato to granita, sorbet to Baked Alaska. There’s […]
Now that the weather is cooler, the air crisper…this is when I LOVE pancakes. It’s too hot in the summer to enjoy sticky, warm stacks of pancakes if you ask me. So fall is perfect. Apparently someone else thought so, too, as today is National Pancake Day! A whole day dedicated to buttery, syrupy goodness. […]
I’ve had my blog for 3 years now. So, I’m not new to the game, but I’m no old pro either. I’m lucky…I do make money here, with sponsored opportunities and advertising, and I have a kitchen full of great cookware, appliances, and foods that aren’t even on the market yet. I love being a […]
Do you remember Chunky Bars?; Do they even still make them? Well, this weekend is my best friend from high school’s birthday, and she and I had this bond over Chunky’s and Clearly Canadian water.; Oh, it was something, I tell you.; No matter what boy we were swooning over, what girl we were hating […]
Last week I was privileged to be a part of Midstate Mills Biscuit Day in Newton, North Carolina. Number One – what a cute little town! The festivities took place right in the center of this quiet little gem, where streets are slow and parking is easy. Number Two – Midstate Mills folks are amazing. […]
