Tuesdays With Dorie…Free Style

Since I just joined the TWD group last week, I didn’t get the opportunity to make the Peanut Butter Torte with the rest of the group…so, not having a madeleine pan, the torte was my choice. Plus, I had all the in-laws in over the weekend and I wanted to have a nice looking (and great tasting) dessert on hand. This did not disappoint! I won’t bore anyone with the recipe, but I will say what I changed. First, I didn’t use any peanuts or crunchy peanut butter. I personally do not like crunchy food, and the torte was still awesome. Second, I cut back a bit on the coffee, as we just aren’t much into coffee around here. For the ganache, I followed the recipe that Spatulas & Corkscrews suggested and it came out wonderfully…in fact, that will become my “go-to” ganache recipe unless she modifies it in the future!
