Wordless Wednesday…Giveaway & Words
How many Mommies are looking for a way to make their lives a little easier around the house? I mean, isn’t it hard enough to keep our kids fed, and clothed, and pick up all of their brightly colored pieces of plastic forty two times a day, and then hope they sleep? Aren’t they dirty enough what with all of the diapers we change and the sticky fingers they manage to drag through every scuzz pile we somehow missed under the couch?
I think so.
Before Seven was even born, we were given a Bumkins Bib, so when he started eating on his own, we pulled it out and put it on him. Unlike the standard cloth bibs, these wipe right off. And unlike the cheap plastic bibs, these are actually still soft and comfortable around tender little necks. A perfect combination. Best yet, machine washable. Quick drying as well.
Then came spaghetti. I think every parent both dreads and looks forward to the day their little guy or gal can sit up in their highchair and sling tomato covered pasta from one end of the kitchen to the other. But no matter how great the bib, Kiddo is going to ruin at least part of the outfit. Apart from stripping them down to a diaper, what choice do you have?
This. The Bumkins SLEEVED Bib. Bumkins was kind enough to send Seven one to review, and we are giving this little masterpiece a huge thumbs up. Of course, I’ll still be scraping spaghetti from behind the fridge until he enters kindergarten, but his clothes are just fine. All I have to do is slide his arms into the sleeves and tie the strings around his neck and voila – instant and total coverage. I love the elastic wristbands, too – no sliding up. It really is the perfect solution to a problem I imagine all of us face. Seven’s bib is in the Blue Circles pattern, but my favorite of all of the boys patterns is Urban Chaos. Skulls and Crossbones on a bib? How punk is that? There is even an Urban Chaos for girls, too…in pink…which brings me to something else…
The Bumkins Adult Apron. Yep…Apron. Made out of the same waterproof material as the bibs, meaning easy clean up for you, too. I got to try one out in the Pink Urban Chaos, and I adore it. Adore. It. It isn’t my favorite “dressy-uppy” apron, but it is perfect for my dirtier days, like working with raw meat, potting plants, or housecleaning. Seriously perfect…I can just wipe it off or throw it in the wash. Good as new. Better than a dressy uppy apron for lots of reasons…and cool enough to greet the UPS man at the door in. He’ll think you’re bad ass in a skull apron. He will. Trust me. (Mine thought I was, anyway.) In case skulls aren’t your thing, worry not…there are 28 other patterns. Twenty Eight. Surely you’ll find at least one you like!
Now, before you run off, I think you might want to visit the Bumkins Site. Why? (other than to buy one of your own, of course?) Well, because Bumkins is giving away one of the sleeved bibs to one lucky DoughMessTic reader! You go pick your pattern, then report back to me to let me know your fave by Commenting.
