going purple, twd, and giveaway winners
You probably noticed the purple before you even read the post title, didn’t you?
Like so many other blogs today, I have chosen to go purple to celebrate and remember the life of Madeline Spohr, who passed away last week. She was only 17 months old.
Today her parents are having to say goodbye, and I can’t fathom what that must be like…but in the wake of their personal tragedy, I have seen so much support go out to them in the Blogging Community. Over $20,000 has been donated in Maddie’s name to the March of Dimes, and the amount is growing everyday. If you have been looking for a great cause to donate to – this is it. Please take a moment to visit their site, and give if you have the means. I know they will appreciate it.

Ummm, about that…
I wanted to make the 15 Minute Magic Ameretti Torte. I did. I looked everywhere – even in 2 states – for Amaretti Cookies. I just couldn’t find them. I thought about making my own cookies, but that seemed to go against the whole 15 Minute Magic aspect. Bummer. So Holly, I apologize. I hate that it was YOUR week – you know I wouldn’t skip out on you without good reasons. If you want to see this tasty cake I didn’t get to make – go check out Holly’s Blog – PheMOMenon. She’s amazing. And to see how the rest of the TWD gang fared, check out the Headquarters. I think several of us had issues finding the cookies, but more than likely, lots of them made amazing substitutes. I am unfortunately not that clever.
