The Krusteaz Bakers Dozen

Little things make me happy.  But this?  This is a big thing.

I have been asked by Krusteaz to be an ambassador for their brand over the next year.  That’s huge, right?  As a fan of their baking mixes (seriously, the Lemon Bars and the Wild Blueberry Muffin mix are to die for) I was excited they found me worthy of hiring for such an endeavor.

The day a giant box of baking mixes arrived at my door (30 of them! All different!) I immediately had to dig into them.  My creative juices got flowing right away, and within an hour, I had an amazingly simple yet indulgent and flavorful twist on that Wild Blueberry Muffin Mix.  Coconuts, more blueberries, and some secret ingredients turned this already excellent mix into an outstanding tropical loaf cake!

I’ve also been experimenting with what is left of the summer fruit crop, and a cobbler emerged one night at a little dinner party when using a Lemon Cake Mix.  So good!

So, while I am typically a from-scratch baker, I do LOVE these mixes.  You’ll be seeing my experiments pop up here over the next few months as part of my tenure with Krusteaz.  I hope you’ll enjoy them!

Have a favorite Krusteaz mix, or a special and unique way to change up any of these mixes?  I’d love to hear them!

Until next time, kiddos, have a great Holiday Weekend!
