Black Forest S’mores
So, I’ve mentioned it what? 5 times already?
I just wrote a S’mores Cookbook.
As in – JUST – wrote a S’mores Cookbook. I turned everything in to the publisher a couple of weeks ago. I’m excited about this one in a much difference way than I was with my first published book, as this one is fully photographed, meaning, it’s going to not only be chock full of sweet recipes, it will have a stunning photo (thanks to Bree!) to accompany each and every one.
Like – THAT kind of cookbook.
And in case you aren’t following along with me on Facebook, you don’t know one of the other special details…
Duff Goldman, Ace of Cakes himself, offered to write the Foreword to this book.
I KNOW.
I don’t even know what to think about that, other than wow – I am one lucky gal. In 2008, when I started this little blog, I didn’t know the first thing about cooking, baking, or anything food related, other than I knew I liked to eat. And now, I get paid to blog, I’m publishing my third cookbook, and someone famous offered to write the foreword.
There are no words.
But…it’s going to be a few months before this new book hits the presses, so I thought I’d offer you another little tidbit to tide you over.
Black Forest S’mores.
Chocolate Graham Crackers form the base, then a layer of toasted marshmallow, some dark chocolate squares, and then get this – cherry pie filling.
Crazy, right? But it works. It really, really works.
And it’s easy.
You should try it. I’m going to add a recipe for you to follow, though I imagine if you were able to navigate yourself over here to my page all by yourself, you can handle making this S’more based on what I just wrote. Heck, you could make it based on the photos.
You’re a smart cookie. I know this. But I’m posting the recipe anyway.
We all have those days, and I’m not taking any chances.
