Pie Swap. Pie Mix. It’s a Bunch of Pie.

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Mrs. Smith’s. All opinions are 100% mine.

Every year at Thanksgiving, there is always at least ONE dessert that we question – who made this delicious looking pie?

The answer? It’s always Mrs. Smith.

You see, I have an aunt named Mrs. Smith. And it’s pretty much a given that she didn’t bring the Mrs. Smith’s Pie. Ever. And so we laugh and laugh as we inhale our desserts.

Maybe you just have to be there, because it’s funny. To us.

It’s funny.

Now, don’t be going and getting snobby on me, because I guarantee at least once in your life, you’ve been slated to bring a dessert to a potluck or family get together, and for whatever reason – headache, flu, a case of the lazies, a Real World/Road Rules Reunion Marathon – you just didn’t want to make something from scratch.

In steps Mrs. Smith.

Kid you not, they are better than the pies made in the grocery bakery. Why the store doesn’t just go to the freezer section and bake her pies I’ll never know – they’d certainly sell a lot more of them. Especially now with the Mrs. Smith’s Signature Deep Dish pies…and all those toppings.

ms-apple-pie-1

My go to “Homemade” Mrs. Smith’s Pie is the Deep Dish Apple Crumb. Just enough spice, and plenty of that crumb topping. Maybe even too much?

Nah.

Even better? The pies now include a packet of caramel to drizzle over the top. Even better than THAT? Buying two different pies, and swapping out the toppings.

Say whaaa?

ms-apple-pie-2 Yep. Buy the Deep Dish Pumpkin Pie, and take some of that cream cheese icing over to the Deep Dish Apple. Score. Cream Cheese Apple Pie is a winner. Plus, a drizzle of the caramel on the Pumpkin Pie is pretty darned tasty too.

Did I mention the Deep Dish Peach (which comes with Cream Cheese too) is equally good with the caramel?

How about the Deep Dish Cherry? This one throws a whole new flavored topping in the mix – Butter Fudge. Droooool. While I love that topping on the cherry pie the most, it’s also great on the pumpkin pie. And the cream cheese? Very good on the cherry. You could be mixing and matching all day! I’m sure Mrs. Smith won’t mind.

In fact, Mrs. Smith WANTS you to play, and so do I!

Oh my, these look delicious. Who knew? Will definitely be trying these after your scrumptious description. Most likely the Apple Crumb and the Cherry. And…I’ve been eyeing a few things at Williams Sonoma for Christmas gifts. Would love that GC.

All very tempting, but your photos make me think I need a piece of the apple pie right stinking now. I love WS and can spend ages wandering around looking at everything. I might dig some treasure out of a clearance basket or maybe get some more of the little Weck jars. Thanks!

Oh that’s a tough call! I like the sound of all the pies (Except Cherry- never been a cherry fan). If I had to narrow it down I would get peach I think. And I would buy a new insulated cookie sheet and a silpat liner. Thanks for the giveaway!

I would try the Deep Dish Apple crumb pie and with caramel topping-oh my! As far as at Williams Sonoma…probably whatever jumped out at me. I don’t go in there very often and am not sure what I “need” right now.

Um, deep dish apple pie because you can never go wrong with a classic. In the market for a cheese grater and think Williams Sonoma could help with that!

Wow.. that’s a gorgeous pie. I love apple & caramel together. And now I want pie for breakfast. Great timing for a Williams-Sonoma gift card. Who wouldn’t want to re-stock their baking shelf this time of year?

I love the apple pie but have not had it with the caramel topping. That would have to be my first choice; however, the cherry sounds pretty yummy. I think I would have to add some money to the gift card and buy a Kitchen Aide mixer.

I would be all over the cherry with butter fudge… in fact, it is now on my shopping list for Christmas dinner, as we all know I don’t bake anywhere near as well as you do!
Williams Sonoma is a tough one for me, as the only time I get to go there is when I’m in Richmond… and I pretty much want EVERYTHING. Sadly, I don’t think the $50 gc will go far towards everything, but I’m sure I could find something… maybe a pretty pie plate for my Mrs. Smith’s pie.
