Mothers Day Galettes

Despite the pretty name, to be honest , these are just so-so mini-pies. Too time consuming to make again, not delicious enough, either. Sure, they are good, but nothing to write home about. Again, I took the recipe stright from – the name is Peach Berry Galettes. Probably quite good if they are hot and served with ice cream, but just okay on their own.

I am, however, getting rave reviews from the Coconut Cupcakes and the (non-rancid) Gingersnaps, so those are my successes for the week. Oh, so were the Peanut Butter Cookies, which sold out at the bake sale.

Later this evening, Jon again made the delicious ribs he made for us last weekend, this time substituting a Southern Blend Jam for the Peach Jam. Still incredible, fall-off-the-bone good eatin’.
