Silkology…Gingerbelle Latte

This week is crazy. I’m gearing up for Mixed – the biggest endeavor I have ever tackled as a blogger. Sure, I’ve thrown blogger parties, like the RockHer parties. I’ve hosted events for Dole, Cameron Hughes, and other companies I love. But this? This is a weekend retreat for 100 food bloggers and sponsors.

It’s a little stressful here, let me tell you.

Paula came in on Monday to get the ball rolling, and we’ve been going full throttle since her arrival. Today though, we needed a break, and a nice warm pick-me-up was in order.

A Gingerbelle Latte.

Since we were on work mode, we opted for the non-alcoholic version (sighhhh), but it was incredible. The flavors were so wintery, so warm, so delicious. And it was a Silkology recipe!

What is Silkology? It’s fresh, innovative cocktails and beverages that combine the art of mixing drinks (mixology) with the delicious flavors of Silk.® It’s also a perfect solution for holiday entertaining focusing on unexpected taste combinations that emphasize local and seasonal ingredients. Fruits, veggies and herbs, unique garnishes and creative serving ideas all play a part. A Silkologist blends culinary ingredients with Silk to create enticing new beverages the same way a chef concocts a new dish. You already do that in your own kitchen every time you make dinner, so why not stretch it to drinks?

I did. I adapted my Gingerbelle Latte a bit by adding a pinch of cinnamon and a nice dollop of whipped cream…you can never have too much whipped cream, can you?

Want to try out Silkology on your own? Of course you do. Silkology is hosting a Holiday Recipe Contest! Everyone who enters the contest receives a Silk cooking apron and three grand prize winners (chosen after December 1st) receive a KitchenAid Mixer and a free year of Silk! ($350 value each). You should enter!
